FORMAT
RAIDSTONE GRAVEL MAROC is a multi-stage race in which riders compete in teams of two over 340 kilometres in the Zagora region of Morocco.
What makes it unique is its format, which connects participants with local communities by incorporating « speed limit » zones in the villages crossed. This succession of timed special stages and neutralised sections will add a tactical dimension to the management of the race.
On each stage, the cumulative time achieved in the timed special stages establishes the day’s scratch ranking.
At the end of the three stages, the cumulative total time establishes the general ranking and the category rankings.
RAIDSTONE GRAVEL MAROC is a timed stage race in which riders compete in teams of two over 3 stages in 3 days, preceded by a prologue. Each stage’s time is added up, and the team with the lowest cumulative time takes the lead of the general classification stage after stage and wins the race at the end of the 340 kilometres.
What makes its format unique, RAIDSTONE GRAVEL MAROC connects participants with local communities by including “speed limit” zones in the villages they pass through. These zones may also be used on tricky sections. This series of neutralised links adds a tactical dimension to managing the race, where the first to arrive isn’t necessarily the winner. An Explorer format (non-timed) lets riders enjoy a different adventure without worrying about performance, but the challenge stays the same: reach the finish line and complete the adventure!
