We are proud to begin a lasting partnership with
« Solidarité Enfants des Sables », whose president is none other than Patrick Bauer, founder of the Marathon des Sables.
RAIDSTONE GRAVEL MAROC was born from an ambition: to reinvent sporting adventure in the heart of southern Morocco's vast landscapes. An adventure built on tracks, personal challenge, discovery and encounters. But from the very start, one conviction has guided the project: a race cannot simply cross a territory without caring about the people who live there. Choosing southern Morocco to trace RAIDSTONE is therefore not just choosing an exceptional backdrop. It is also, on our own scale, an attempt to create connection and to give something back.
This is the drive that naturally led to meeting Patrick Bauer, founder of the Marathon des Sables and president of the association Solidarité Enfants des Sables. For many years, the association has worked with local communities: introducing children to sport, providing school support, and teaching literacy to women in neighborhoods and villages. Concrete, deeply human actions that echo the values carried by RAIDSTONE.
Beyond the race
In March 2027, RAIDSTONE GRAVEL MAROC participants will ride several hundred kilometers across the tracks, regs, oueds, palm groves and villages of southern Morocco, all the way to the first stretches of the Sahara. Because a territory is never just a playing field, we want this adventure to carry meaning beyond athletic performance. To create connection. To meet rather than simply pass through. And to imagine how the adventure can also give something back to the land that welcomes it. It is around this vision that RAIDSTONE GRAVEL MAROC and Solidarité Enfants des Sables chose to come together. We will now take the time to shape, together, an approach that is fair, useful and consistent with the work already carried out on the ground. In the desert, not every track is mapped out in advance. Some are discovered along the way. RAIDSTONE GRAVEL MAROC and Solidarité Enfants des Sables have just opened a new one together.
